Passport photos for government documents are always a huge headache

Reading time: 3 minutes

The conditions for accepting identity photos are becoming increasingly complicated. But this is no longer a problem for your BTP Card!

A smartphone application has been created to help you take a photo that will almost certainly be accepted by the authorities.

Available on iPhone and iPad as well as Android, the Carte BTP Photo application created by Congés intempéries BTP Union des caisses de France (French organisation that is the main point of contact for member companies and employees in the building and civil engineering sector, for whom it pays holiday pay in accordance with the conditions laid down in the regulations) is an official and free application, available in French and English, set up to help you take a photo that’s in order.

Step 1: prepare for the shot

First, the application tells you the important details for taking the photo: don’t have any accessories (such as a hat, scarf, etc. or even your glasses!), keep your eyes open and don’t smile. It should be as neutral as possible.

Step 2: start the shooting process

It’s time for the photo, and it’s best to ask someone else to take it. Note that you absolutely must have your eyes at the level of the red frame and enter the drawn silhouette. Of course, you’re allowed as many tries as you like.

Step 3: Get your photo back

Your photo is ready. Now it’s time to fill in the compulsory information that will appear on your BTP card (if you are an employee, your employer will fill in the additional information when he applies for the card): your first name, your surname and your date of birth.

Step 4: Save the photo

The Carte BTP Photo application lets you list the photos you have taken or that have been sent to you (if you are an employer).

Step 5: Send your photo

Send your photo to your employer so that they can apply for your BTP card. It’s that easy!

And to get your BTP card, ASD SPW will help you and take care of all the necessary formalities. What could be simpler?
